“Sagar mein ek Lehar uthi……” I enter the house humming the Art of Living Birthday song, and it’s not my Birthday, nor is it of someone in the family either. But it felt like birthday, Courtesy: YES+ upgrade, a unique process that introduces you to someone very special. It’s not a matrimonial service, chill ….. It helps you to rekindle that spark in you which somehow was blown by the storms of the society. It introduces You to You!!
“To live is to be born again” said a learned man, a statement that otherwise goes over the head until one experiences it. To ensure that all of Experience all that magic, rather than listen to it, I’m just sharing experience of the upgrade.(this implies you just get a glimpse of the Masti we do, and the experience we have). So here we go, sharing a part of experiences.
I leave home on a pleasant Sunday Spring morning at 7:45 am, though I don’t feel like. Reached the designated place and how we managed to do the Sudarshan Kriya deserve another write-up. We finish it by 10:30, and then the usual chit chat starts. Obviously 37, 20+ year olds have a lot to say, something that got over by 11:30, for the next 15 minutes the process was explained to us and the next four hours were given for the task. The process analogy comes closest to shaping a Diamond with another diamond for the right cut, to make it more beautiful.
In those four hours, the participants gathered the vital ingredients for worldly success and life on a whole. Being less egoistic, showing compassion, respecting your profession, valuing the available resources, planning, perseverance, risk taking, team work, commitment, confidence, pressure handling, individuality, leading people, communicating well, to name just a few. My personal Academic learning was the “theory of constraints” and personality learning was to be more kind towards strangers, and the fact that God doesn’t put us in deep waters to drown but to cleanse. And these lessons were not thought through the carrot and stick approach because at AOL there’s a firm believe that to destroy something, you need power, for everything else love is enough, and that’s what transforms.
20 + years old , bogged down by life and cribbing like aunties were transformed into real 20+ years old, making mistakes, learning from them, moving on in the right spirit, sharing and caring, living life to the fullest , something easier done than explained. What we all took home were smiles , or shall I say roars of laughter, some beautiful memories, unparallel wonderful experiences and a notorious confidence that makes us stand apart , shine through the crowd , while proudly belonging to the one world family !!
